SKY to launch a 3G handset 'doublEly' to take two-way pictures

SKY(www.isky.co.kr) launched its new 3G handset 'doublEye(model: IM-U490S)' adopting a dual-camera system able to take two-way pictures simultaneously and compose those photos.

With a 10.9mm-thick slim body and rounded corners, the doublEye features a 2.6-inch display, T-DMB support, mp3 player, electronic dictionary function, money diary, external memory and more.

Suggested price is between 400,000(KRW) and 500,000(KRW).

T-Mobile's Samsung Highlight Smartphone

The Highlight is the latest entry-level smartphone from Samsung that is now available via T-Mobile. Available in fire (red and orange) and ice (almost a turquoise), the phone is also known as the Samsung SGH-T749. Measuring 4.27-inch x 2.11-inch x 0.54-inch and weighting 3.7-ounces, the handset comes jam packed with a 3-inch touchscreen display with a brilliant 16 million-color resolution, a 3-megapixel camera, a music player, stereo Bluetooth, voice dialing and commands, instant messaging and Web-based POP3 e-mail, a 2,000-contact phone book, GPS, a microSD slot (up to 16 GB), and a full HTML browser. Upcoming AT&T Nokia Surge

AT&T Nokia Surge To Be Released on July 19th, 2009

AT&T has joined once again with Nokia to release the Nokia Surge, an entry-level S60 handset with slide-out QWERTY keyboard and 3G connectivity. The phone comes jam packed with a 2.4-inch (240 x 320) LCD display, a 2MP digital camera, A-GPS with AT&T Navigator support, and AT&T Video Share for video calls. In addition, the phone also supports a full messaging suite, including IM, SMS, MMS and email. Its JuiceCaster feature allows you to upload and share pictures and videos from the handset to Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr. The browser has Flash support for streaming video, and various mobile music download options such as Napster, eMusic and XM Radio.

The Nokia Surge will be available on AT&T from July 19th, 2009 for $79.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. It will require a two-year agreement on both a voice plan (minimum $39.99) and data plan (minimum $30), which adds up to $1,759.75 over the course of the contract.

National Geographic Releases Dual SIM Duet Travel Phone

National Geographic and Cellular Abroad have collaborated to launch a new dual SIM handset which is dubbed as the National Geographic Duet Travel Phone (model name D888). The handset features a National Geographic pay-as-you-go SIM card that allows you make affordable calls from no less than 185 countries, and receive free calls in over 80 countries. The phone also supports a secondary SIM card of your choice. Sadly, this Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) phone lacks of 3G support. Other features include a 2.8-inch QVGA display, a mobile TV, Bluetooth, an FM radio, a VGA camera with video recording, a 1GB MicroSD card, and a pre-loaded National Geographic content (ringtones, videos, wallpapers). Philips Releases C600 and W186 Handsets

Philips will release a couple of new mobile phones in the form of the C600 and W186. The Philips C600 is a dual-mode handset that works on Tri-band GSM networks (900/1800/1900 MHz), and on CDMA 800 MHz. The phone also has two call keys, one for GSM and one for CDMA. Other features include a 2.4-inch QVGA touchscreen display, an MP3 player, a 1.3MP camera with video recording, a 2.5MB of internal memory and MicroSD card support (up to 2GB).

Meanwhile, the Philips W186 is made for China Unicom’s Wo brand. The handset features Tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900 MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850/2100 MHz) connectivity, with HSDPA 3.6Mbps. Other specs include a 2-inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels, a 2MP camera with video recording, Bluetooth with A2DP, an FM radio, a 150MB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support (up to 8GB). Samsung B7610 Officially Released in Singapore

Samsung Korea today released in Singapore the B7610 smartphone. It is a WinMo PocketPC with a sliding QWERTY keyboard, a 3.5-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreen, a 5MP auto focus camera with LED flash, HSPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, an FM radio, and a microSD slot (with support for up to 32GB). The company also released the Samsung Pixon 12 M8910 12MP camera phone, the Samsung Jackie B7320, and the Android powered Samsung I7500. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing so far.
